About Us

The Artist

“The world is filled with no limit of unique styles and imagery, and I want nothing more than to jump in and create my own interpretation of all of them.”

Doodle Ranch Tattoos is currently run and operated by a singular artist Chante Brand. Chante has been passionate about art since childhood and has spent uncountable hours practicing and perfecting her artistic abilities. After receiving her Bachelor of Design in Graphic Design. She decided to pursue an art form that has a more human connection, tattoos. She completed her Tattoo Training course and BBP Training in 2023 under the guidance of Gary Erskine.

Chante has a very bold and talkative personality and enjoys meeting new people. In her free time she loves comics, video games, horror films, history, musicals and the macabre. Her favourite musician is Lady Gaga and her favourite film is “Hello Dolly!”. She can’t live a day without energy drinks and popcorn. Her personal favourite artistic inspiration is Art Nouveau, specifically the artist Alphonse Mucha whose body of work is an endless supply of inspiration and appreciation.

Chante doesn’t have any specific style preference for tattoos but enjoys the process of creating custom art pieces to really embody the client’s personality and aesthetic. Her stylistic skills include realism, detailed linework, portraiture, cartoon/stylised, full colour and bold heavy black.

The shop

Doodle Ranch Tattoos had one clear creative mindset behind its creation, everyone is welcome. The shop though small is spacious enough to comfortably hold two people excluding the artist and has onsite facilities and parking. Doodle Ranch is kept to the highest standard of cleanliness and complies fully with medical safety requirements. The shop has comfortable seating both indoor and outdoor and complete privacy.

The artist wanted to create a gender neutral and fun space after noticing that shops tended to fall into two generic categories of old-school masculine or explicitly feminine. Instead Doodle Ranch reaches the child in us all inviting them into a world of fun shapes and bright colours. The name Doodle Ranch itself is a mash up of the hyper masculine cowboy motif and the childish nature of doodles, striping the cowboy of its seriousness.
